Master Sword - WIPby ~Awaken-Benihime

Artisan Crafts / Woodworking

Here's a teaser of my current project the Master Sword from Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess / Link Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

I still got a lot of work to do, but I thought I'd give you guys a preview.

This will probably be my last post this year so to all at Deviant Art Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

It's multiple pieces, laminated together and then carved using a dremel.

Looks great so far, and I actually think the handle size isn't bad. I'm curious as to how you finish the handle though, it's a very unique weapon. Very exciting!

The handle has spiraling lines. I was thinking of attempting to bend some wood. Steam it first, see how it goes.

I'm guessing the grip is going to be bigger once you wrap it with purple cloth.

I'm not sure how I'm going to finish the handle yet.

The grip dimension isn't far off, remember the Master Sword is a single handed sword.

Yeah, but there's a certain texture to the wrap you have to get right, and the wrap is pretty thick.
